GATE 2025 Registration Online

Short information: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee invites online applications for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 to test the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and both undergraduate and post-graduate level subjects in Arts, Commerce and Science . All eligible and interested candidates can apply online at IIT Roorkee official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in from 28th August 2024 to till the application last date 26th September 2024 for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2025
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR who has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2025 exam.
Some Professional Societies/ Institutions, which conduct examination in various fields of engineering, are given below.
- The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)
- The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
- The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
- The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
- The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)
- The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
- The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)
However, the candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/ AICTE/ UGC/ UPSC as equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc.
Candidates who are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India must be currently in the 3rd or higher years/ completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities. Details of eligibility criteria are given in Table 3. If a candidate is pursuing any higher degree or has already obtained a degree higher than that mentioned in the Table 3, the candidate will be allowed to appear for GATE 2025 examination.

- The candidates with B.Sc./ B.A./ B.Com. degrees desirous to seek admission for masters programs in IITs may refer to JAM 2025 Examination organised by Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
GATE 2025 Papers
GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 subjects (papers). The list of papers and paper codes for GATE 2025. A candidate is allowed to appear in ANY ONE or UP TO TWO papers of the GATE examination. However, note that the combination of TWO papers in which a candidate can appear MUST be from the pre-defined list as given below. Also note that for a paper conducted in multiple sessions, a candidate will be mapped to appear for the examination in one of the sessions ONLY.
